Kirkcaldy’s Food & Drink Fair 2018

Kirkcaldy’s Food & Drink Fair returns in 2018 and will see the current BBC2 MasterChef The Professionals Champion, Gary MacLean, leading the day’s activities.

The event – brought to you by Kirkcaldy4All and Fife College – promises to deliver a full menu of activity, including cookery demos led by the current BBC2 MasterChef The Professionals Champion, Gary MacLean.

In December 2016, Gary became MasterChef: The Professionals Champion – the tenth winner to be awarded the prestigious title. He took on 47 other professional chefs in the pursuit of gastronomic glory and battled through seven weeks of fierce competition and extra-ordinary cooking in the culinary challenges. He was judged the winner by two Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing, renowned chef Monica Galetti and MasterChef’s seasoned judge, Gregg Wallace.

As in previous years, the Food & Drink Fair’s hub will be on Saturday – in The Atrium of Fife College (the campus on St Brycedale Avenue) – within easy walking distance of the town’s train and bus stations. And there’s plenty of on-street parking in and around the campus too. Much more will be shared on our Blog.

The FREE event will be staged on St Patrick’s Day – Saturday 17th March – and will be a full programme of chef demonstrations, kids’ workshops as well as food & drinks stalls offering tastings and the opportunity to purchase some great local, regional and Scottish produce.
