Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith Food & Drink Fair returns on Saturday 16th March 2019 and will see BBC’s 2016 MasterChef The Professionals Champion, Gary Maclean, leading the day’s activities. The event – brought to the town by Kirkcaldy4All and Fife College – promises to deliver a full menu of activity, including cookery demos, kids’ workshops and an indoor market.
In December 2016, Gary became MasterChef: The Professionals Champion – the tenth winner to be awarded the prestigious title. He took on 47 other professional chefs in the pursuit of gastronomic glory and battled through seven weeks of fierce competition and extra-ordinary cooking in the culinary challenges. He was judged the winner by two Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing, renowned chef Monica Galetti and MasterChef’s seasoned judge, Gregg Wallace.
As in previous years, the Food & Drink Fair’s hub will be in The Atrium of Fife College (the campus on St Brycedale Avenue) – within easy walking distance of the town’s train and bus stations. And there’s plenty of on-street parking in and around the campus too. Much more will be shared on our Blog.
The FREE event for all the family features a full programme of chef demonstrations, kids’ workshops as well as food & drinks stalls offering tastings and the opportunity to purchase some great local, regional and Scottish produce.
